IN ESPORTS: FAITH Is King

THE year 2021 proved to be a busy and fruitful year for the FAITH esports club. The club has been actively joining different leagues one after another, and at the same time conducting in-house competitions in between to discover new players who have what it takes to become part of their growing team of champions.

FAITH MLBB Summer League
The very first MLBB competition organized by FAITH esports club was launched in June 2021. It was a huge success with 40 participating teams consisting of 200 students, ages 15 to 21, from 50 different DepEd and Non-DepEd schools around the province of Batangas. Jumping Gurami emerged as champions and was hailed as the official league heroes.

YEP National Interschool Cyber League Season 1 (Luzon Regional Champions, 1st Runner Up-Nationals)
As Luzon Regional Champions, Team Bravehearts earned a ticket towards the nationals to compete with other Regional Champions from NCR, Visayas, and Mindanao. During the semi-finals, Team Bravehearts slayed the Mindanao Regional Champions Stygian Squadron of MSU. Team Bravehearts advanced to the national finals to face NCR Regional Champion Phebby N Friends of EARIST. Team Bravehearts finished 1st Runner Up and player Dapr emerging as one of the tournament MVPs.


AcadArena National Campus Open for MLBB (Luzon Champions)

Team Bravehearts joined the league as defending champions but the journey was not smooth sailing. The Team had to work its way up from the lower bracket, sweeping clean all the other schools that they went against. In the final battle,  Team Bravehearts damaged Holy Angels University’s Valiant Esports Club with a 3-0 clean sweep to earn the title Champions for Luzon Grand Finals.

22nd NCAA-SOUTH Mobile Legends Bang Bang Competition (Champion)
Champs all over again! Team Bravehearts conquered the 22nd NCAA-South MLBB Competition. The team conquered University of Batangas in the final round.

FAITH MLBB Back-to-School League
The sequel of the first MLBB competition organized by FAITH esports club. A total of 20 teams from 25 DepEd and Non-DepEd schools around Batangas battled out for the title of FAITH MLBB Back-to-School league heroes. Team F3rocious—one of the top 8 teams from the FAITH MLBB Summer League—was hailed as champions.

Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends Philippines (PH Representatives, 1st and 3rd place)

Two powerful teams from FAITH Colleges joined the Philippine qualifiers for the South East Asian Regional Tryouts. Astra PH won 3rd place while Team Bravehearts was hailed champions after battling LG Invicta of Ateneo De Manila University. Both Team Bravehearts and Astra PH entered the Top 4, earning the right to represent the Philippines at the South East Asian Regional tryouts.

Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends SEA (Season 1 Rank 7)
Team Bravehearts and Astra PH faced other Southeast Asian college teams as one of the four representatives of the Philippines. Team Bravehearts placed top 7 among 16 teams at the Season 1 regional tryouts to become the sole representative of the country. This October, Team Bravehearts will proceed to the next stage of the Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends SEA seasonal play on the road to the World Championship in 2022.
