“The Responsible Juan” wins DTI eComics competition

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Batangas cited “The Responsible Juan” for its sustainable consumerism in the recently concluded Regional eComics Making Contest.

Coming in at  top 2, the winning entry is a collaboration of the BA Multimedia Arts, BA Communication, and BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing students of FAITH Colleges.

Students Jonas Palma, Meliah Jean Cueto, and Leonard Glenn Endaya rose to the challenge of remotely putting together a compelling visual narrative on consumer welfare amidst COVID-19.

Under the coaching of BMMA chair Kahrein Salvador, BAC chair  Isedora Adajar, and BSEMC chair Reymark Natividad, the students successfully pulled off the winning feat that aims to inform the public on responsible consumer practices during the pandemic.

More than a nod to artistic competence, the award is a recognition of the active commitment to the dissemination of correct consumer information to the public who are adjusting to the better normal in the time of the global pandemic.
